Survival of the Queerest

The burning of effigies, and returning of the remains to the ground, has long been used to release stored energy back into the earth. 
This ritual was performed by queer people to give themselves the space to exist in community and heal from the traumas gathered from living between and amongst spaces harmful for them. 
A sigil created for protection and healing was traced in the earth to ground the intention of the ritual
