Artists Charlie Ashwell and Es Morgan collaborated on this research project, bringing elements from both their practices such as the possibilities of witchcraft, experimental dancing, feminist politics, and queer dance. These dances incorporating choreographic scores aim to create spaces separate from the mundanity of the world.

The artists use performance to assert their identities and take up space, creating that space where none is open to them. The community aspect to their work is something that I find interesting and would like to emulate or adapt to my own work through workshops. This work highlights the importance of community and the collective in spell casting, or any kind of reflection and manifestation. That power of community is made stronger by shared experience and connection that's unique to that group. This often manifests itself in marginalised people experiencing together out of a need for survival, and then healing, with the goal being thriving.
